In the name of Allah the most Merciful
Sister Eemaan here are some risks and dangers of cloning plants and animals
Cloning is costly.
Plants cannot reproduce naturally after they have been cloned.
Without natural growth, there is a possibility of losing species completely.
It is possible that cloning plants could lead to a negative health affect on humans. Such as causing cancer and other malfunctions.
When we hear of cloning successes, we learn about only the few attempts that worked. What we don't see are the many, many cloning experiments that failed. Even in the successful clones, problems tend to arise later, during the animal's development to adulthood.
Cloning animals shows us what might happen if we try to clone humans. What have these animals taught us about the risks of cloning? High failure rate,
Problems during later development,
Abnormal gene expression patterns, and the list goes on
Allah told us in the Holy Quran what the cursed satan have said:{وَلَأُضِلَّنَّهُمْ وَلَأُمَنِّيَنَّهُمْ وَلَآمُرَنَّهُمْ فَلَيُبَتِّكُنَّ آذَانَ الْأَنْعَامِ وَلَآمُرَنَّهُمْ فَلَيُغَيِّرُنَّ خَلْقَ اللَّهِ ۚ وَمَن يَتَّخِذِ الشَّيْطَانَ وَلِيًّا مِّن دُونِ اللَّهِ فَقَدْ خَسِرَ خُسْرَانًا مُّبِينًا
And certainly I will lead them astray and excite in them vain desires and bid them so that they will slit the ears of the cattle, and bid them so that they will alter Allah’s creation. And whoever takes the devil for a friend, forsaking Allah, he indeed suffers a manifest loss. 4:119
This was not the teaching of our Imam but rather my search and conclusion and we wait to read a statement about this subject from Khalifa Nasser Mohammad peace and blessings of Allah be upon him.
